The City of Orlando finally demolished the former 7-Eleven building at Rosalind Avenue and Central Boulevard by Lake Eola this week. The property was purchased by the new Orlando Land Trust organization and then donated to the City to be used in perpetuity as public park space, with the idea of having it connect to the larger park sometime in the future.

The 7-Eleven vacated the property in October 2021 and it has sat vacant ever since, awaiting demolition. And our friends at the Melrose Center at the Orange County Library System’s downtown branch were able to set up a timelapse shot of the entire event.
