MegaCon Orlando (Facebook | Website) is back with even more nerdtastic event programming than you can shake an expensive lightsaber replica at.
MegaCon is Southeast’s most popular comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event and features four days of celebrity encounters, fan-favorite cosplayers, and after-hours programming in Orange County Convention Center, from Thursday, May 19 through Sunday, May 22, 2022.
In addition to panels and meet and greets with celebrities and creators, the convention brings an endless amount of engaging programming for fans to enjoy.
CELEB-HOSTED AFTER-HOUR EVENTS
Two official MEGACON after-hour events will be hosted this year including one featuring cast members of Lord of the Rings, on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m., giving fans a chance to have an unforgettable evening with their favorite characters; Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin), Pippin Took (Billy Boyd) and Merry Brandybuck (Dominic Monaghan).
Or, get nostalgic with the stars from hit ‘90s movie Clerks, as Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) and Jason Mewes (Jay) tell stories and answer fan questions.
From Thursday to Saturday, guests are welcome to join a number of fun after-hour events and parties complete with DJs, laser light shows, and full liquor bars. Fans are welcome to let loose and of course, all cosplay is welcome and encouraged. Tickets are available for these special events online HERE.
LEGENDARY COMIC CREATOR FRANK MILLER DEBUTS DOCUMENTARY
Fans can attend a once-in-a-lifetime documentary screening debut by iconic comic creator Frank Miller, whose work includes Daredevil, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, Sin City, 300, and more. Miller will be screening his documentary “Frank Miller – American Genius” at MEGACON Orlando 2022, directed by Silenn Thomas, which profiles his life and work. Tickets and VIP packages are available that include preferred seating at the film screening, a signed poster, and a meet and greet with Miller and Film Director Thomas following the premiere.

MEGACON Orlando has partnered with Whatnot to bring the convention to fans across the globe. Virtual attendees can enjoy a live stream that allows engagement with celebrities, creators, and vendors like never before. Throughout the weekend, programming will include exclusive celebrity signings, a virtual shoppable artist alley, vendor live streams, exclusive giveaways from comic creators, and more.
MEGACON Orlando’s single-day tickets and limited four-day passes are available for purchase HERE. Before May 4, single-day tickets begin at $22 for adults, $17 for ages 13 – 17, and $12 for children ages 6-12.
