Family-owned restaurant, Mediterranean Blue (Instagram | Website) has announced that it will be shutting down at the end of the month.

The popular Greek restaurant was founded by brother and sister team Bob and Gail Givoglu, and was inspired by their mother, who hailed from Thessaloniki, Greece. The menu showcased typical American-friendly Greek fare like gyros, souvlaki, falafels, and salads, which were loved by locals and critics alike.

The restaurant is scheduled to close on Friday, May 27 after 12 years of business. They will be observing limited hours all week, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. , according to a post shared by the SoDo Main Street.

Mediterranean Blue is located at 435 E. Michigan Street [GMap].
