Following the success of two consecutive Black Friday celebrations, the organizers of the popular local Juneteenth event series will return this month for the third year with three days of programming meant to “uplift Black-owned businesses in the Orlando community.”

This year’s event, the Juneteenth 407 Weekend (Website) will kick off on Friday, June 17th at 5 p.m. with a special happy hour in the Parramore neighborhood, followed by a special scavenger hunt competition that takes competitors to a variety of local Black-owned businesses.

A Black Wall Street Block Party will be held at Wall Street where winners of the scavenger hunt will be announced will take place on Saturday, June 18th, and a special Art of Brunch event is scheduled for the Hall on the Yard in Ivanhoe Village on Sunday, June 19th.
