According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 20% of new businesses fail within their first two years. Survival rates don’t improve much after that, with 45% of businesses closing within the first five years, and 65% within the first 10 years.

The National Entrepreneur Center (Website) wants to help local small businesses conquer these odds with their new online platform, BizLink Orange (Website).

The site was launched in partnership with Orange County Government to provide an always-accessible resource hub for Central Florida’s small businesses, no matter what phase of development they are in.

BizLink Orange services include access to over 60 entrepreneur support organizations, personalized business plans, a host of non-profit resource partners that provide one-on-one business coaching, and a wide range of business training topics including:

• Business Planning
• Loans/Financing
• Marketing/Sales
• Licenses/Permits
• Startup Assistance
• Product Development
• Training Classes
• Government Contracting
• Operations
• Human Resources
• Accounting
• International Trade

Bungalower recently sat down for an interview with the president of the National Entrepreneur Center, Jerry Ross, to learn more about BizLink Orange, and all the other work the National Entrepreneur Center does to support Central Florida’s business community during last week’s episode of “Bungalower and the Bus.” Give it a listen here:
