UPDATE: The Lake Alert for Lake Killarney has been lifted – 7/25/22.
The City of Winter Park has just issued a precautionary Lake Alert for Lake Killarney due to potentially elevated bacteria levels due to a privately-owned lift station failure on the east side of the lake.
As such, the City of Winter Park is advising the public to refrain from all recreation, irrigation, and fishing activities until further notice.
Lake samples are scheduled to be taken on Thursday, July 21, and again on Tuesday, July 26. Notifications will be given when water samples show normal levels of bacteria in the lake.
