The Orlando International Airport made headlines this weekend when it shared that weather issues (read: fog) along the Gulf Coast had delayed a shipment of jet fuel to Central Florida and that it could possibly face some disruptions.

Since that original announcement, the weather improved substantially and the fuel delivery commenced without a hitch, but not before causing some disruptions abroad.

Since the announcement, airlines across the country were forced to come up with plans to lessen any larger impacts on their operations, and companies like United Airlines added fuel stops to some of the routes that would let them refuel outside of Orlando, though most are carrying extra fuel to avoid refueling and added delays.

Anyone flying to and/or from Orlando over the next day or so should check with their airline about the status of their flight or any changes to their schedule.
