Downtown Orlando and the Community Redevelopment Agency have been hosting an ongoing Downtown for the Holidays celebration all through the month of December at Lake Eola and today, December 23rd, is the last day to enjoy their free holiday event programming.

Be sure to stop by the amphitheater to enjoy the beautifully illuminated Eola Wonderland Christmas Tree and watch as the lights dance to popular holiday music. Then pop over to the East Lawn to experience “snow” falling from the sky before shopping local at the holiday market, which features 30 vendors. Be sure to bring a blanket and enjoy a free holiday movie on the East Lawn at Lake Eola where they’ll be screening the 2018 animated film, The Grinch.

The Christmas tree light show will take place at 5:45 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:45 p.m., and 9:45 p.m., and it is located by the intersection of East Washington Street and North Rosalind Avenue.

The “snow” will fall on Washington Street by the Lake Eola House, located near the intersection of East Washington Street and North Eola Drive. It falls in 15-minute increments at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m.

Be sure to check out the Explore DTO app to enjoy augmented reality content for your selfies, including dancing with a gingerbread man, or taking a photo with a swan in a Santa hat.

The Christmas Tree Show and the holiday lights around Lake Eola will remain in place through January 6.
