We told you HERE that the Orlando Solar Bears would be attempting to break a Guinness World Record on February 4 where they would attempt to be the largest gathering of people wearing tie-dye clothing.

According to Guinness, the current record for the most documented people wearing tie-dye is 1,790 people, which was set by Frank Augustus Miller Middle School in Riverside, California — where the students probably borrowed their parents’ old festival gear. Because, California.

While the Solar Bears failed to break the record, likely due to some intake issues during the event that had attendees lined up right up until the game started, the team did succeed in attracting the largest crowd in Solar Bears’ history to the Amway Center; 11,382 people.

The Bears won the game 5 to 4 in overtime against the Florida Everblades.
