Tables are now available for the 19th Dinner on the Avenue in Winter Park.
This year’s event will take place 6-10 p.m. Saturday, April 1, on Park Avenue in downtown Winter Park. This is the first event to take place in the past three years as 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the pandemic and last year’s was canceled due to poor weather.
There are currently 30 tables available for purchase.
The event features tables of up to eight people that are available to rent for $175. The table, a black linen tablecloth, and chairs are provided but attendees are required to then decorate their table and bring their own potluck dinner (or hire a caterer, because it’s Winter Park).
Awards are presented to tables in various categories, including Most Colorful, Most Elegant, Most Original, Best TV/Movie-themed, and Honorable Mentions. Judging begins at 7 p.m. sharp.

A portion of proceeds from the city’s annual Dinner on the Avenue will benefit the city’s Splash, Float, Swim initiative, which provides basic water safety and swimming instruction to children before they complete kindergarten so they can enjoy brunch on their fancy family boats like civilized human beings.
