Freehand Goods (Facebook Website) opened its new College Park store this weekend, and we were there to check it out.

The local retailer, which specializes in 100% American-made goods and their own designs and handmade pieces, opened a new store/bar in the former home of El Vic’s Kitchen at 2445 Edgewater Drive [GMap].

The space was divided into three separate spaces, including a large production and shipping warehouse at the rear of the building where the previous kitchen was, a small retail storefront for all of their handmade goods, and a bar serving up Florida canned beers to-go or for drinking onsite. They also have wine.

The “sip and shop” model is a core part of their business model at their Audubon Park concept, The Neighbors, which is a partnership with John Rife, owner of East End Market.

Follow them on social for information on upcoming workshops and live music events.
