The Melrose Center at the downtown branch of the Orange County Library System will be hosting a special Melrose Pop Festival on Saturday, June 10.

According to Jim Myers, Department Head of the Melrose Center, the name of the event is an homage to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival which celebrated the music of the decade, which he sees as a good fit since the Orange County Library System is celebrating 100 years of service throughout 2023.

The event lineup currently features local musicians like Eugene Snowden, Beth McKee, Oak Hills Drifters, Hannah Stokes, Milk Carton Superstars, and Marc With a C, and will be hosted by Melrose Performing Arts Instructor Marko Torres.

The Melrose Pop Festival is free to attend and will run from 2-7 p.m. The library closes at 6 p.m. so attendees should arrive early to attend the last hour of the show.

The new Melrose Stage features professional lighting, pipe and drape, and soundboard and is home to a monthly improv comedy series.
