Orange County’s Tourist Development Tax Sports Incentive Committee is hoping to throw Orlando’s hat in the ring to bring the 2024 Royal Rumble to Camping World Stadium.

Inside that hat, is an $850,000 bid that the County hopes could seduce the event to the region, along with 54,000 estimated attendees and an expected economic impact of roughly $28 million.

The last major WWE event to be held at Camping World Stadium was Wrestlemania 33 back in 2017, which generated an estimated impact of $181 million for Central Florida. The 2023 Royal Rumble took place in San Antonio, Texas, and broke the company’s record for largest gate in the event’s history with well over 25,000 tickets sold, 11,000 hotel room bookings, and an estimated $8.3 million in revenue generated for the host city.

County leaders say the bid would be returned if Orlando isn’t chosen.

The 2024 event is currently scheduled to take place on January 27.
