R. Nichols (Instagram | Website), a boutique brand and shop in Audubon Park, has made a name for itself with its original collage art line of stationary, and they will be selling some rare original artwork this week.

Shop owner Nick Hanzlik hand-cuts and glues his designs into ornate and original collages that he then scans and digitally manipulates into whimsical products that he sells in his shop and online.

This Wednesday, May 17, at 2 p.m., Hanzlik will be selling original paper collages from the R. Nichols’ archives – something they’ve never done before. They’ve selected 50 pieces to release for the online-only sale, from the past 27 years, to put up for sale.

“One of the highlights is the original cover artwork for the book “French Women for all Seasons”, by Mireille Guliano.  I did the covers of all of her books, including the first blockbuster, “French Women Don’t Get Fat”.  There are also some very special designs that are actually hard for me to let go of – but they are really just sitting here in storage in my office – and someday I will be dead and they will all go in the trash – and I’d rather have them on people’s walls being enjoyed.”

The pieces range from $75-$1,500 depending on their size and intricacy.

The pieces will be available HERE at 2 p.m. sharp. They are currently marked as “sold out” until the sale begins.
