The Orlando Repertory Theatre (Instagram | Website) has just announced a significant change: a new name it feels better represents its mission and vision, “Orlando Family Stage.”

As reported by Orlando Sentinel on June 15, the esteemed theater company has shed its former title and embraced a fresh identity that reaffirms the theater’s commitment to engaging and diverse storytelling for families.

The theater has been a pioneer in producing shows that speak to young audiences for decades, going back to when it was founded as Orlando Little Theatre in 1925, but the new name is meant to share that it has something for everyone, at all stages of life.

The name was approved by the board of directors in February after 18 months of research and workshops with stakeholders and the community, according to the Sentinel article.
