Architectural Digest has just released a list of what it considers to be the “11 Most Stunning Theaters” in the world, and Orlando’s own Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts scored a spot in the rankings.

Steinmetz won tenth place in AD’s list and was recognized for being “… one of the world’s most acoustically advanced theaters.” The theater was built on a floating rubber membrane that shields it from outside vibrations and noises and it sits on a bed of steel train tracks, that allow the seats to move in order to shape the soundscape of the theater and can accommodate between 1,597-1,741 people.

The list was topped by award-winning venues like the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California, Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona, Spain, and Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.

Steinmetz Hall cost roughly $250 million to build and was finished in January 2022 after five years of construction.
