An empty lot at 811 E. Washington Street [GMap] in Thornton Park is indeed being prepped for development.
The 62.5 x 100-foot property has been vacant for years and was the subject of one of our past
“I Wish This Was” columns in 2015. The last time we wrote about the property was in 2018 when a two-unit, three-story mixed-use building was proposed to the City of Orlando, but plans for that project fell through and the property was sold.
The new owners have since filed plans to build a new residential building with two rental units on the first floor, and a larger residential unit on the second floor.
