A new tapas restaurant and craft cocktail venue is in the works for downtown Orlando at 27 E. Robinson Street [GMap].

White Rabbit Restaurant and Bar (Instagram | Website) is being described as a New York-inspired “international tapas, small plates” restaurant and according to its Instagram page, it will be a new sister concept to Vines Grille and Wine Bar (Instagram) on Sand Lake Road.

An early menu, submitted as part of their paperwork to the City, includes items like flambeed mussels, flatbreads, grilled stuff squid, and pacanha steak.

White Rabbit Restaurant succeeded in applying for permits with the City of Orlando prior to the passing of the recent moratorium on new bars and nightclubs, and they will be making over 51% of their gross revenue from food and non-alcoholic beverages.

They have also applied for funds via the CRA Retail Stimulus Program and are eligible for up to $100,000 to help with their estimated $670,000 buildout.

An opening date is not available at this time but the website says “coming soon, downtown Orlando, summer 2023.”
