A dog park bar that we first told you about HERE in June 2020 is finally ready to break ground in Ivanhoe Village.
BarkHaven Dog Park Bar (Facebook | Instagram) will host a groundbreaking ceremony at their new digs at 724 Brookhaven Drive [GMap] at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, a former industrial warehouse. The new venue will feature a large secure area with room for off-leash play, a dog spa and grooming space, remote workstations, and have direct access to the Orlando Urban Trail.
Once it’s open, BarkHaven will also feature a resident food truck, coffee service, and a full bar.
BarkHaven is expected to open in early 2024.

Why has it taken so long for them break ground? Was it a code issue, it seems that the city of Orlando takes forever compared to other cities to allow business to open. Was wondering if this was the case here.
The space required a Change of Use permit, which always takes a generous amount of time.
