The team behind the annual cultural festival series, FusionFest (Facebook | Website), regularly hosts a monthly foodie series centered on exploring the tastes, sights, sounds, and mindsets of different cultures from around the world, and this month’s event is scheduled for 5 p.m. August 27.
The Diversitastic Dining series highlights a new chef/restaurant every month and this month they are inviting Orlandoans to try food from two different restaurants; The Kava Bowl (Instagram) and Sweet and Salty Island Grindz (Instagram), hosted at 1010 West (Instagram).
Dinner will include a chef-curated menu with the items listed below, cultural entertainment and Fijian music, and a talk by guest speaker and native Fijian, Setareki Koroitamudu, who will share stories of his childhood home.
Menu items include:
- Fijian Chop Suey
- Palu Sami
- Panekeke
- Lava Lava
- Karadila
Dinner tickets are $59.95 and Bungalower Buddy members can unlock a $10 discount with a special code they received in their inboxes this week. Codes for future Diversitastic Dinners will also include a special offer for current members with codes shared closer to the date of the event.
