Napasorn Thai Restaurant (Website) in downtown Orlando will go down in local history as the first business to have its after-midnight alcohol permit pulled by City Hall.

The decision to temporarily revoke the restaurant’s late-night permit was made when a hearing officer discovered that business operators violated at least three regulations during a recent inspection.

Those violations included not having a weapon scanning device on location for three separate occasions earlier in the summer, and not tracking the occupancy of the restaurant. Restaurants and bars that wish to remain open beyond midnight in the Central Business District are now required to have a special permit and to perform certain tasks, which we’ve outlined previously HERE.

Napasorn will be allowed to continue operating during the day but cannot sell alcohol between midnight and 2 a.m. for at least the next 30 days.

Napasorn is located at 56 E. Pine Street [GMap].
