9/8 UPDATE: The City of Orlando has lifted the Lake Alert for Lake Adair.

The City of Orlando’s Streets and Stormwater Division has issued a Lake Alert for Lake Adair in College Park.

The alert is in response to a sanitary sewer overflow caused by a grease blockage that resulted in roughly 50 gallons of sanitary sewer waste to enter Lake Adiar. Water Reclamation personnel removed the blockage and cleaned the impacted areas.

City personnel are placing warning signs around the lake and will begin testing for E. coli counts immediately. Until levels have been deemed acceptable, all water contact activities should cease, including irrigation, until further notice.
