The City of Winter Park will be hosting its second Sustainability Fair & EV Car Show on Saturday, September 23, from 9 to 11 a.m., in Central Park West Meadow.
The event is being hosted in recognition of National Drive Electric Week, and will feature an exhibition of electric bicycles, motorcycles, and over 30 vehicles. The event will feature a number of sustainability-minded vendors like the Electrification Coalition, League of Women Voters of Orange County, New Life Ebike Co., Winter Park Library, and Zenyge. City officials will share remarks at 9:30 a.m.
Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) will display one of their six new electric school busses, which were purchased with the help of a Florida Department of Environmental Protection grant. The electric bus pilot program began last February and will allow OCPS, the first district in Florida to put electric busses on the road while the county gathers data and mulls over adopting even more for the fleet.
I’ll bet there will be a bunch of sheep there with masks on!
