The Hammered Lamb (Instagram | Website) in Ivanhoe Village will be hosting a special event in celebration of National Banned Book Week this weekend.
The local watering hole will host the family-friendly “Let Freedom Read” on Saturday, September 30 from 2-6 p.m., in partnership with The Writer’s Block (Instagram | Website) in Winter Park, with help from The Zebra Coalition and The Florida Freedom to Read Project, both of which will be on-site during the event.
Guest speakers for the event include previous Florida House of Representatives rep, Carlos Guillermo Smith.
There will be a banned book giveaway.
