“Hey. What’s up with the new sign in front of The Stardust?”– BLUNT BUNGALOWER READER
Popular basement bar venue The Stardust Lounge (Instagram) has officially changed its name.
When the 60’s Vegas-style lounge first opened back in the 2000s, it was inspired by the original Stardust Casino. That casino, which was purchased by Boyd Gaming, politely requested the local venue to change its name to avoid a friendly lawsuit.
Hence the change.
Now known simply as “The Dust,” the downtown hotspot now features new signs and t-shirts, and branding. The ownership and staff are the same as before.
The Dust celebrated 15 years of business this summer.
