Winter Park-based pool-playing team, The Party Animals, just won big at a worldwide competition early last month.

The team consisting of Carrie Klinkosh, Danielle Woodall, Ana Arboleda, Laci Penton, George Saunders, Gregory Woodall, Brad Fournier, and Gregory Pugh, managed to win the 2023 APA World 8-Ball Championship which was held in Las Vegas this past August 3-8.

The Party Animals were one of 730 teams to qualify for the tournament and took home $30,000 of prize money for their trouble. The APA produces four major tournaments each year; the APA World Pool Championships, the APA Poolplayer Championships, the APA Junior Championships, and the U.S. Amateur Championship, which have a combined prize package of over $2 million.
