The Thornton Park Neighborhood Association’s annual Taste of Thornton Park event will return on Thursday, November 2, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for its 22nd year.
This event is the community’s largest fundraiser of the year and originally helped to pay for the iconic Four Rivers Fountain at the intersection of Washington Street and North Hyer Avenue, which was modeled after the Fontaine de la Place Louvois with each figure representing one of the four great rivers of France. funds raised at the event will support the maintenance of the fountain, be used to host the annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt, print the quarterly newsletter, set out holiday luminaries, and more.
This year’s event will take place in the streets surrounding the fountain and will feature unlimited food and drinks from neighborhood businesses that are donating their products to the event. There will be a live DJ, an awards ceremony, and more.
