The Orlando Museum of Art (Website) has just announced that it has received a grant from the Art Bridges Foundation through its “Access for All” program to help offer free admission to Central Floridians and visitors.

The museum will now host a new Access for All Third Thursdays series, where they will offer a day of free admission, launching in January 2024. OMA will open its doors from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month.

The museum also shared in a press release that it has plans to partner with local transit systems to offer transportation assistance to visitors.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Art Bridges and to make art experiences more  available to the entire Orlando community. We look forward to welcoming everyone, especially those who haven’t attended before, to the  museum to enjoy the galleries and special events on Access for All Third Thursdays.”

– CATHRYN J. MATTSON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CEO, ORLANDO MUSEUM OF ART

The first Access for All Third Thursday will take place on January 18, 2024, and will feature live performances, educational programming, and refreshments. Parking at the museum is free for visitors.
