Downtown Orlando arts hub, CityArts (Instagram | Website), will be hosting an Edgar Allan Poe-centric exhibition next month, celebrating the American writer/poet/gothic hero’s work.

The Edgar Allan Poe Prize Exhibition is curated by CityArts sherpa Kat Quast, and features work by multiple artists who were tasked with creating original works of art that were inspired by a story, quote, or passage from one of Poe’s literary works.

A prize package of $15,000 will be divided amongst four winning artists thanks to the support of an anonymous donor, with the winners being announced on Saturday, December 2, during a special “Macabre on Magnolia” event.

The opening night reception for the exhibition is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Thursday, November 16, during CityArts’ monthly 3rd Thursday art event. Click HERE for the Facebook event page.
