Mayor Dyer recently named David Barilla as the new Executive Director of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment Agency.

Barilla has been serving at the DDB/CRA for the past 13 years, with his fingers in all of the downtown pies, including Creative Village, the recent anti-nightclub ordinances in the Downtown Entertainment District, and the recently passed Restaurant/Retail Stimulus Program.

Barilla has been serving as the interim director since the recent passing of former director Thomas C. Chatmon.

The mission of the CRA (Website) is to pursue redevelopment and revitalization projects in the downtown core, with an emphasis on housing and cultural arts opportunities, transportation, and more retail development.
