The Bao Spot (Instagram | Website) will be hosting a grand opening this Friday, December 1, at their new home on Church Street in downtown Orlando.

We told you HERE that the new concept was moving into a 2,100 SF storefront where they will offer many different cuisines swaddled in soft “bao” dumplings in an extraterrestrial/sci-fi space cantina-themed atmosphere.

According to co-owner and current Saint Cloud Middle School teacher Donald Huesing, the menu will feature a variety of apps including fried brussel sprouts and chicken gyoza, a number of bao offerings with fried chicken, kalbi beef and kichi, and spicy softshell crab, bowls, and boba, and is led by executive chef and restaurant partner Raul Cervantes, fresh from Mexico City.

The opening will take place 11 a.m.-midnight this Friday and will also feature entertainment all weekend.
