The City of Orlando celebrated the launch of the holiday season on Friday, December 1, with the lighting of the annual Christmas Tree at Lake Eola.

The 64-foot Eola Wonderland Christmas Tree features 2,000 ornaments and 200 pounds of lights with which the tree features a light show every evening that sync with the Lake Eola Fountain. The shows happen at 5:45 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. through Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 23, the City will also be hosting a holiday “Merry Market” on the east side of the lake from 5:30-9:30 p.m. featuring local vendors.
