The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (Website) recently shared that it would be opening a new live music-focused venue in early 2024.

Judson’s Live (Website) is being billed as an intimate live music space, inspired by listening rooms from iconic music cities like the Blue Note and Dizzy’s Club, with an “elevated atmosphere that brings audiences and international, national, and regional artists together in a table-style seating environment.” At the center of the experience is a grand piano, once owned by late jazz musician Judson Green.

The space will seat over 150 guests and is set to open on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, with a full month of programming featuring Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Joshua Redman, Michel Camilo and Keb’ Mo’.

“Judson’s Live is another major achievement for our Board of Directors, donors, sponsors and city and county partners. We look forward to more achievements in the future with the development of new venues and event spaces that draw even more visitors to the state of Florida and the region.”

– ED TIMBERLAKE, BOARD CHAIRMAN, DR. PHILLIPS CENTER BOARD OF DIRECTORS

According to a press release issued on November 30, guests can expect a 90-minute experience that features a 50-minute performance while enjoying a seasonally-driven menu of shareable plates developed by executive chef Jason Klingensmith. A craft cocktail and brown spirits menu will also be available alongside wine offerings curated by the in-house sommelier. There will be a one drink minimum per person to attend.

Tickets for Judson’s Live performances are already on sale and can be purchased HERE.

Judson’s Live is located at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, near the corner of Rosalind Avenue and South Street.
