Popular non-traditional wedding venue and private event venue, The Acre (Facebook | Website) sold to new owners in January 2023, and one year later, they made the decision to open the property to the public on the weekends as a food and drink garden.

The unique property, located at 4421 Edgewater Drive [GMap] in College Park, is a one-acre lot that features several rustic standalone buildings and vine-covered structures, mature oak trees, beautiful landscaping, a small kitchen, and more.

Team Market Group (Website) the ownership team behind Mather’s Social Gathering, Primrose Lanes, and The Wellborn, has made some improvements in the year since purchasing it, and rather than letting it sit idle in between private weddings and events, will host a weekly open house of sorts with regular programming on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The Acre’s public hours are 5 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sundays.

TMG will host an opening weekend celebration on Friday, January 12, and Saturday, January 13, from 5 p.m. to midnight each day, with live music, outdoor movies, light bites like meat and cheese boards and grandma-style, Sicilian-inspired ciabatta pizzas, and wine from its onsite market shop.

Future programming will include a medical marijuana-infused yoga hour, hosted by Bungalower Media and partners, launching later this month. Stay tuned for more information on that event series and more in the coming days. As always, Bungalower Buddy members will get first access to tickets for Bungalower-affiliated event programming.

Corporate chefs Nick Grecco and Jason Campbell shared that they will be hosting a series of special dinners and events at the space shortly, including test menus and concepts for the under-development Eastwood restaurant in Mills 50.
