The Orange County Environmental Protection Division performed an aquatic plant herbicide treatment on January 17, and as such, the lake will be closed to public use for the next five days.

The treatment is part of an ongoing effort by the county to manage invasive plants like Limnophila and Nympoides Crisata.

And while you should not let your animals drink from the water over the next five days, you can totally still fish or even swim in it – according to the Environmental Protection Division. But maybe hold off on that too.
