After 23 years of employment with Orange County Government, Terry Olson is poised to step down from his longtime role as the Arts and Cultural Affairs Administrator this spring.

Olson is expected to retire this May, after being hired in November 2011 as the first-ever administrator of the Arts and Cultural Affairs office, a role he often referred to as “Chief Art Instigator” and applications are already open.

According to the job description, the role is responsible for facilitating collaborations and initiatives with numerous arts and cultural organizations, supporting and enhancing the arts and cultural infrastructure of Orange County, and advocating for financial investment from private and public entities. They oversee the Tourist Development Tax dollar initiatives, support arts and cultural incubator programs, act as a staff liaison with the Arts and Cultural Affairs Advisory Council, and oversee and support FusionFest and other cultural programming.

The annual pay is $89,336-$116,147 per year.
