The Edyth Busch Charitable Foundation in Winter Park will be hosting the second annual Mister Rogers’ Week of Kindness this spring, inspired by the renowned children’s television show host and American icon.

Mister Rogers famously attended Rollins College where he studied music composition, and where he met his wife and fellow Rollins student, Joanne Byrd. He has become a mascot of sorts or Patron Saint for the institution as well as Winter Park and even inspired a Mister Rogers self-guided tour and is the subject of a number of public art pieces dotted around the area.

This year’s events will include a prayer breakfast, a special piano concert, an afternoon tea party, and a storytelling event featuring David Newell, who played Mr. McFeely on the series.
