2/7 UPDATE: The owners have informed us that they recently pulled out of the lease for this location. This concept will not be moving into the building, despite their announcements on social media – which have since been removed.
The owners of College Park Cafe (Facebook | Website) recently announced that they’d be opening a new concept south of downtown that will feature a restaurant and a theater in the same building.
The Counter (Instagram) is a new concept being planned for the former home of Hungry Pants at 3421 S. Orange Avenue [GMap]. The Counter will be a diner first, with an adjoined community theater space in the back of the building called Center Stage Playhouse, with an expected opening in May/June 2024. The restaurant part of the concept is expected to open this March.
