A large fire that erupted at a lumber yard in Lake Fairview this Sunday is still being battled by Orange County Fire Rescue a day later.

The fire was called in around 2:18 p.m. Sunday with units arriving on scene at 2301 Silver Meteor Drive [GMap] shortly after. The property is a site used by landscaping companies to drop of pieces of trees, debris, and stumps before it is made into mulch.

“It’s 11 yards of nothing by firewood, so it’s taking a lot of water to extinguish this fire.”

– ORANGE COUNTY FIRE RESCUE

It’s been labeled as a Three-Alarm Fire, which means it requires a large team, trucks, and equipment to contain.
