The Strand (Website) in Mills 50 has expanded its footprint into the former home of The British Shoppe next door and opened a new sister space called d.b.a (Instagram).

The new concept by The Strand’s Ada and Joe Rees, which stands for “Doing Business As,” currently offers small plates like Old Bay chips, duck flatbread, cacio e pepe deviled eggs, marinated clams, and scallop crudo alongside a creative menu of cocktails like the Ms. Kim made with chrysanthemum-infused vodka, rye gin, lemon, and honey, and the Pool Boy, made with gin, lime, simple syrup, cucumber, and absinthe.

They are currently hiring for food runners, a line/prep cook, and a bartender.

D.b.a is located next door to The Strand at 807 N. Mills Avenue [GMap] behind a door that’s a little tough to open, so don’t give up if it seems stuck. The bar opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.
