Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine (Instagram | Website) has just signed a lease for the former Outpost Kitchen space in Maitland.
The deal, facilitated by Acre Commercial, will place a new Greek concept by the husband-and-wife ownership team, Chris and Alexandra Southern, called Parea Greek Taverna.
“Parea” is the Greek word for companionship and community and is often used to refer to a
close circle of friends. “This word with a beautiful meaning perfectly encapsulates the atmosphere we aim to create in our Greek taverna,” explains owner Alexandra Kopatsis Southern.
According to a release issued earlier today, the menu will feature Greek staples alongside new “creative additions,” ranging from “Yiayia Phillys’ lemon potatoes to Yiayia Koula’s bougatsa.”
The restaurant buildout is being designed by Ray Schaefer of Gravity Architecture and Design.
An opening timeline is not public at the time of this post.
Outpost Kitchen was evicted from its space back in November 2023.
