Well, reader, you’re right, there’s a new quick service restaurant in the works by Fashion Square Mall, tucked between LongHorn Steakhouse and the “fancy” flagship Olive Garden Italian Restaurant facing Colonial Drive.
Del Taco (Website) is opening sometime this month at 3209 E. Colonial Drive [GMap] according to the corporate website. Signs posted in the windows have been calling for job applications for the past few weeks, which means they’re opening soon.
The chain is known for its “Western” take on Mexican food, crinkle-cut fries, and 100% beef patties in their burgers. They also say their burritos are larger than Taco Bell’s, but we don’t really care enough to measure and weigh them.
