Golden Phoenix Antiques, Gifts and Home Decor will be closing on May 12, 2024.

The shop, located at 1826 N. Orange Avenue [GMap] has been home to owners Chad and Wayne, for over 30 years. The two shared that they plan to move somewhere in the Carolinas in the near future.

“To all our loyal customers that have supported us through the years, you have made owning the store a true pleasure. For that we will be forever thankful. Hope to see you soon!”

The building was placed on the market in late February and found a buyer in just 10 days. The couple is now liquidating all of their inventory, with discounts of up to 50% off on select items. They are currently open noon-5 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.

The new owner of the building has promised not to knock down the building and will be renovating it for a new, undisclosed use, as soon as the boys have left.
