Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings has just announced the appointment of Vicki Landon as the new Arts and Cultural Affairs Administrator for Orange County.

Landon comes to the role following the retirement of Terry Olson, who originated the role in 2011. She’s broadly recognized as being an advocate for arts and cultural institutions in Central Florida and comes to the position after most recently serving as Vice President of Development and External Affairs for Central Florida Community Arts. Prior to that, she served as Senior Director of Development for Orlando Family Stage/Orlando Repertory Theatre.

Landon has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Theatre from University of Central Florida and has served as an instructor at the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership.

Her formal start date is scheduled for April 8.
