The City of Orlando will celebrate the completion of roadway improvements in the new Packing District development on Friday, April 12, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony starring District 3 City Commissioner Robert Stuart and Mayor Dyer.

The redesign project included sections of road on Princeton Street from John Young Parkway to Orange Blossom Trail, including:

  • A four-lane divided roadway with a raised median, 
  • Expanded six-foot-wide sidewalks, 
  • 10-foot-wide bicycle lanes with separated two-way cycle track, 
  • A new speed-reducing roundabout and 
  • Increased on-street parking. 

Additional improvements on Orange Blossom Trail from south of Industrial Way to north of Cannery Way include: 

  • A four-lane divided roadway with on-street parking, 
  • Expanded six-foot-wide sidewalks and 
  • 10-foot-wide bicycle lanes. 

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on the northeast corner of North Orange Blossom Trail and Princeton Street near the replica juice stand building at 10:30 a.m.
