The Funky Monkey space in Mills 50 will be the new home of Restaurant ASH (Facebook | Website), a new project by Ashley Nickell, chef de cuisine at the Pointe Orlando Funky Monkey location [GMap].

Nickell is a contestant in Season 15 of Hell’s Kitchen which is still airing on Fox. At the time of this post she was in the top nine chefs still on the show.

ASH, besides alluding to Nickell’s first name, also stands for “Artisinal, Sustainable, Harmonious.” The restaurant will have a focus on farm-to-table menu items.

EDIT- According to the owners, the menu will feature “fast casual gourmet sandwiches … amazing burgers … house-made pickles, soups, salads and about 10 gourmet sandwiches served fast.” They will also have local drafts and a “good wine list.” They will be open for lunch, dinner, and late-night service.
