We told you HERE in August 2023 that the warehouse housing  Quantum Leap Winery (Facebook Website) in Mills 50 had been put up for sale, and according to the wine hub’s social media, it’s finally time for them to find a new home.

New owners purchased the property later that same month for an estimated $3.9 million, according to the Orange County Property Appraiser website. The new owners are operating under the name “Mad Spemily Inc.,” and before you ask, we’re not sure what their plans for the property are.

The owners of Quantum Leap, David Forrester and Jill Ramsier, issued a statement on Tuesday that they would be moving the concept out of the building by the end of April, saying:

“Quantum Leap’s home for the past 12 years on Wilfred Drive was sold last fall; the new owners will operate in the space, so we are moving out at the end of April. We have loved the sense of community in the Mills 50 district and have appreciated the support we have received, and the friendships and partnerships we have made.”

Quantum Leap will host a number of events through the end of the month, including a Pup-Pawty pub crawl on the 21st benefitting the Pet Alliance, and a wine and yoga event on the 24th.

The statement also included news that the owners hope to open an interim location somewhere nearby and that they would be announcing the location sometime in the next two weeks.

The property is located at 1312 Wilfred Drive [GMap] on the Mills 50/Ivanhoe Village boundary.

  1. The same registered agent of Mad Spemily Inc. is a registered agent of a couple mold making/casting materials companies. So I don’t think the place will be anything fun.
