DeLand-based Persimmon Hollow Brewing Company (Website) has announced the pending closure of its Lake Eola location, in the Eo Inn, by Lake Eola, saying the move was part of the company’s “reorganization plan”.

The brewery opened at 227 N. Eola Drive [GMap] in September 2020, with a kitchen serving a veggie-focused menu of food alongside its regular beer selection from the original location. Mexican hot dog slingers, Cholo Dogs (Instagram | Website), took over the kitchen in June 2023, serving an expanded menu of pub-friendly items like smashburgers and soft prezels.

The brewery is scheduled to close up shop at the end of the month, on Thursday, May 30. The original location will continue with business as usual.

Cholo Dogs and Persimmon Hollow Brewing will be hosting a “So Long, Persimmon” drag bingo night on Friday, May 24, hosted by Bungalower columnist, Brenda from Bithlo. Click HERE for more information on the event.
