Join us for an exchange of ideas and words in the beautiful Church Street Exchange Building. Breakfast, available for purchase, will begin at 7:30 a.m. with coffee available at the new Church Street Exchange location of Downtown CREDO. With the panel beginning at 8 a.m. November’s speakers; Michele Levy, League of Women Voters; Eliza Harris Juliano, Planner and Urbanist; and Trevor Fraser, Reporter and Wonk; will discuss this month’s topic.

NASA and the South Trail Branch team up to present the Explore Tech: Engineers Make a World of Difference traveling exhibit. Keynote speaker Ledlyne Heriscar Vazquez, a Haitian Creole engineer from NASA, will start the celebration. Representatives from NASA and the Melrose Center will be on-hand for the festivities.
Searching for an extra helping of art in your life? This monthly teen program focuses on careers in the humanities, current exhibitions at the OMA and supporting creative curiosity. Each month will include a studio activity that relates to our topic of interest. Come prepared for an afternoon of casual conversation and artistic experimentation. Our season will conclude with a teen-curated exhibition of artwork created within the program.

The 2nd Annual BABES WHO BRUNCH – Join us at the Parliament House as we present an amazing event to benefit The Center’s HIV prevention program.
Metamorphoses Based on the myths recorded by the Roman poet Ovid (43 BC – 17 AD), Metamorphoses uses an ensemble of actors to retell ancient stories of gods and fortunes both good and bad. Originally produced at Chicago’s Lookingglass Theatre Company, Metamorphoses has been performed on Broadway and toured around the world. A shallow pool serves as the primary scenic element and is one of the hallmarks of Zimmerman’s adaptation of the classical myths.

Dr. Julian Chambliss, author and urban historian, will demonstrate how you can start shaping your personal and professional brand via social media.
Join us and our friends at Se7enbites as we paint 49 birdhouses to be installed in front of their new location in the Milk District. We will be providing the paint and brushes and a number of birdhouses as well, but feel free to bring your own birdhouse to the party and we will swap it in. We are hoping to install the birdhouses as they are completed that day. Weather permitting.

On November 5th we reclaim our wondrous, alien selves! Join us in celebrating our uniqueness, our peculiarity, our radiant otherness. The Hidden Continent: Alien Bodies is a submission based event seeking queer writers, artists, and performers exploring themes of otherness, strangeness, discovery, foreignness, alienation, and our outer reaches.
