This June marks 49-years in business for Beefy King Restaurant in the Milk District.

The local restaurant has been owned by the same family that started the restaurant nearly 50 years ago, by Freeman and Margaret Smith. The space is now run by the Smith’s granddaughter Shannon and her husband James Woodrow.

The restaurant is so well-loved that someone even submitted their logo as a possible new design for the Orlando flag.

They are selling special “Beefy King” ball caps to mark the occasion.
